Chris and Micki at Freckenham Church and the Rosewood Pavillion

January 23, 2018

It's a month today since I got home feeling the most festive and warm tingly vibes from the most laughter filled and joyous wedding of Mr and Mrs Ruggins. Prior to their wedding day I had been struggling to find my Christmas cheer, tied up in the stress of being a Mum, running a business and the festivities had just escaped me. I couldn't have possibly left this wedding without feeling warm and christmassy! A beautiful collaboration of Christmas hymns, snowfetti, christmas trees, ski themed reception, sequins, and mistletoe meant that Christmas started on the 23.12.17.

If not for all of the beautiful finishing touches that Micki had arranged (completely DIY with the help of her Mum I might add!), you couldn't have helped but feel joyous as the day was filled with laughter, smiles and pure emotion. The more I look through my favourite captured from the day, the more beautiful moments I see. I love it when a documentary shot has so many little layers and details with another expression, handshake or hug in there somewhere that feels like an extra little gem when you spot it. That's part of the reason I always take candid shots at a wedding, because often the un-orchestrated moments are the most wonderful.

The ceremony was held at Freckenham Church near Newmarket and the whole church was decorated to perfection. The reception was held at Rosewood Pavillion and was decked out like a beautiful winter wonderland.

Thank you once again for the most amazing Christmas wedding you lovely smily pair you! May you always smile as much as you did on your wedding day,

Roxy x

Review from the above wedding:

"Roxy captured our perfect winter wedding on the 23rd December 2017. After meeting her for the first time prior to the wedding, we knew instantly that she was the only person who could capture our day in pictures just the way we wanted. Her lovely warm, bubbly, professional and friendly nature made us feel instantly at ease and this carried on right through to the end of our wedding day. Yes Roxy was there to take pictures, but to us she was a massive part of the day and we felt like we had known her for years... to the point where I got tearful when it was time for her to go!!! Having just received our official photos this evening, I honestly couldn't be happier! They are stunningly gorgeous and really capture what our lives are about and the winter wonderland theme that we wanted! Simply perfection, thank you so much Roxy x x x"
